Every girl goes through this. I’m dead sure of it. When you’ve had an amazing hairstyle and you finally remove it and the morning after you wake up to your natural look. Of course some girls have more esteem than others. Those with less self esteem would even go as far as saying that they look ugly without their extensions. For me, I think I look fine however my hair is done up but I won’t lie to you, when I’ve just gone back to my natural look, it takes a bit of getting used to.

Thank God for weaves huh ladies. lol

My best friend wouldn’t let her 6 year old daughter get her hair relaxed. At that point in time, I didn’t understand why. But after watching Toddlers and Tiaras I finally get it. Let the children enjoy their childhood without the pressures of artificial condiments. I’m all for the government’s policy of girls having short hair. This allows the young girl to get used to herself in her natural form. From then on, all the artificial stuff comes in as a bonus not as a necessity.

I’ve been toying around with the idea of putting on make-up and the holdup is me wondering if I’m ready to subscribe to those impossible levels. I have been watching those Vault Cosmetics make over’s and I can’t bear the disappointment that would come the morning after when I have been a 10 and I wake up a 6. I’m prone to addictive behavior. I’d want to wear that make-up all the time and Lord knows I don’t have the time for that.

So, I cut my hair because I couldn’t deal with its disrespectful kink. And I’m getting mixed emotions about it. But I love my hair short. That’s what I’m comfortable in. If you think I look better in braids then you must buy them, sit for 6 hours getting plaited and then admire them on your own head.
Bottom-line is, “Stay true to yourself, You’re the one you’re going to bed with!”

NB: Looking for a bursary to go to @VaultCosmetics make-up school.
