First bootcamp comes around, and I opt to do it online (don’t recommend). Mind you, I’m still sceptical at this time because praying I’ve prayed. Fasting I’ve fasted. Sow a seed I’ve forested the entire Kalahari desert. I’m spiritually fatigued.
I knew we were fasting and praying for seven days. What I didn’t know is that there are lessons as well to then guide the prayer and fasting. (You can see the complete module here). At roundabout 6pm I text the guy who sold Bootcamp to me to ask, “What time are we breaking the fast?” He laughs. “We don’t break the fast?” Watchu mean you also? Confession, I ate.
Two days go by, and I’m joining the Bootcamp lessons via WhatsApp call. First lesson, I was distracted. Second lesson, I was like, wait, they’re saying something here. And I started really paying attention. I got a text to attend some of the lessons in person, and I went over there. The in-person experience is better (and cheaper), but yeah, better.

In one of the Apostle’s sessions, Prophetess turns around, looks me in the eye, and says, “You need to forgive, baby girl.” It felt like time stopped. Like things were in slow motion. Who needs to be forgiven cause my burn list of people who wouldn’t get a glass of water from me is long? Tjo! Tears start streaming down my eyes. I can’t hold them back. Just crying. Leaking from the eyes. I can’t even recall what the lesson was about.
Friday morning comes, and it’s time for prophetic instructions. So, every bootcamper gets a specific prophetic instruction on what they ought to do. My turn comes, and I get three instructions. I’m relieved cause I personally don’t want the “seal the grave” instruction. I didn’t have to seal the grave. I had to:
- Honour my husband
- Find a church and serve
- Take walks no less than 3 times a week
Simple enough, you’d think, but that first prophetic instruction was tricky to accomplish. I say this because at my second Bootcamp in October, I got the same prophetic instruction again. “Honour your husband.” Njani, “imimi munoziva kuti pa rudo ndirimakuruwani” or whatever Killer T said.
Anyways, let’s close here and do part 4.
